WELCOME!
Finnobi Forest is a fully fenced, private dog park located just outside Arnprior, a short drive from Kanata/Stittsville or 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa. The space is approximately 1 acre and is named after our two dogs, Finn and Obi. They would be happy to spend all day in their little forest if we let them!

Public dog parks aren't ideal for all dogs, or their humans. However, many dog owners like to provide their dogs with the chance to run and play off leash, but it isn’t always easy to find a safe and secure place to do that. So we thought we would share a bit of our space with you and your dogs. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
ABOUT FINNOBI FOREST
Finnobi Forest is for exploring, sniffing, rolling and running. Your dog can sit and listen to the birds, or perhaps the chipmunks’ chatter as they scold the dogs for being on their turf. If your dog is adventurous, they will enjoy jumping over some of the fallen logs and the rockier escarpments to climb and take in the view. Or, your dog may choose to take 5 minutes to sniff a cluster of grass!
When you book a time through our online calendar you and your dog(s) are the only ones that will be using the area. It is completely fenced. One side has a 4 foot fence and the other sides are 5 feet high. It has plenty of trees to provide shade on warm days and is generally just a great place to take a "paws" with your dog and breathe in some fresh air.
Did we mention that sticks are included at no extra cost?! If your dog wants to take a stick home, they certainly can. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR DOG CHEW STICKS!
A FULLY FENCED, PRIVATE DOG PARK
We have created a small trail and cleared an area atop the higher point of the forest which provides varied levels of terrain for your dog to explore. There are plenty of trees, bushes and fallen logs that offer a multitude of sniff spots!

The forest is a place to relax and simply let your dog be a dog, without you worrying about encountering dogs unknown to you. Your dog can explore, but you know they are safely fenced in the area.

We recommend wearing running shoes, or day hike boots to support your feet on and off the trails!
We invite you to contact us for a preview of the space before bringing your dog, should you wish to do so.
We are located on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People. The Algonquin People have inhabited and cared for these lands long before today. We wish to show our gratitude and respect to them and to the land for all that it provides us: trees to give shade, water and food to sustain us, and paths to connect us.
